Chia Seed Pudding: Recipe (Vegan)

This is a great snack or breakfast option, especially during warmer seasons and you want to switch from hot porridge or hot meals.


Chia seeds are one of the healthiest foods on the planet! It is a whole grain and provides an incredible amount of nutrients including fibre, protein, antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids and a wide range of vitamins and minerals that support bone and cardiovascular health.

This recipe is very versatile, once you have made the chia seed pudding base you can add your choice of toppings and flavourings.


Ingredients (per serving): ⠀

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds ⠀

  • 4 tablespoons soya yoghurt (or any plain yoghurt of your choosing)⠀

  • 2 tablespoons soya milk (or any plant milk or semi-skimmed milk)

  • Half teaspoon vanilla essence⠀

  • Blueberries and banana (or any fruit of your choosing)

  • Coconut flakes, chia, cinnamon, flax or hemp seeds for sprinkles (optional)⠀

  • Honey or maple syrup (optional) ⠀

Method:⠀

  1. The night before, mix chia seeds, yoghurt, milk and vanilla in a bowl and set in fridge.

  2. In the morning, serve with fresh fruit and sprinkle any toppings you like on top! ⠀

  3. Get a spoon and enjoy 😊 ⠀
