This is the perfect base granola recipe for those who want to be able to choose their own “add-on” ingredients! Or some simply prefer a plain granola without the fuss. Well, this is the recipe for you! ⠀

Per 50g portion this recipe provides 26g carbs, 6g protein, 10g fat (5g saturated), 3g fibre and nutrients like vitamin E, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese and folate. ⠀

🥜 INGREDIENTS 🥜 (10x 50g portions)⠀
⭐️ 2 cups rolled oats ⠀
⭐️ 1/2 cup almond flakes (or any choice of nuts, seeds or coconut flakes) ⠀
⭐️ 1 tsp ground cinnamon ⠀
⭐️ 1/4 cup melted coconut oil⠀
⭐️ 1/4 cup maple syrup ⠀
⠀
Optional add-ons: ⠀
⭐️ 1/4 cup chia / sunflower / pumpkin seeds / coconut flakes ⭐️ 1 tsp vanilla extract⠀
⭐️ 1/4 cup dried fruit / chocolate chips ⠀

👩🏻🍳 PREPARATION 👩🏻🍳 ⠀
1. Preheat oven to 175C ⠀
2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl (if using coconut flakes leave this out at this stage)⠀
3. Mix melted coconut oil and maple syrup (and vanilla if using)
4. Pour liquid over dry ingredients and combine well⠀
5. Lay on baking sheet and bake in middle shelf for 20 mins at 175C (turning half way)⠀
6. If using coconut flakes, at this point mix into mixture and bake for another 5 mins.⠀
7. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature. Store in air tight container for up to 1 month. ⠀
